The YT-73091 universal clamp meter with automatic range for most indications allows you to perform basic electrical measurements. The meter is equipped with measuring clamps that allow measuring the alternating current in a single wire using the inductive method. The measurement takes place without the need to disconnect the circuit or disconnect it from the power source and allows the measurement of much higher current than in the case of conventional electrical meters.

Basic measurements:

AC voltage measurement: AC 0-600 V
DC voltage measurement: DC 0-600 V
measurement of alternating current: AC 0-600 A
resistance measurement: 0-20 MO
diode test: I F 1mA, U R 1.48 V
circuit continuity test: 0-120 O
Additional measurements:

temperature measurement: -20 to 1000 °C
Measurement accuracies:

An example of determining accuracy for measuring AC alternating current. Calculations for the measurement result: 30 A

measurement accuracy of the YT-73091 meter for this range is: ±(2.5% + 5), resolution 0.1 A
Measurement error calculation formula: (measurement result x 2.5%) + 5 x resolution
calculation: (30 x 2.5%) + 5 x 0.1 = 0.75 + 0.5 = 1.25 A
Result taking into account the measurement error for an indication of 30 A = 30 ± 1.25 A*

result taking into account the measurement error to indicate the measurement of alternating voltage: 235 V = 235 ± 8.525 V*
result taking into account the measurement error to indicate the DC voltage measurement: 12 V = 12 ± 0.106 V
A table with the resolution and accuracy for a given measurement can be found in the user manual.

*The YT-73091 meter does not have a true rms measurement function, therefore the above result is the real effective value of AC voltage and current only for the correct sinusoidal waveform.

Built-in features:

AUTO – automatic adjustment of the measurement range. When measuring unknown values ??using a meter with a manual range change using a knob, measurements should be performed sequentially from the largest range to the range giving the most accurate result – otherwise you risk damaging the device. However, in the case of a multimeter with the AUTO function, it is enough to perform one measurement and the meter will automatically find the optimal range. By default, the meter starts in AUTO mode
RANGE – manual change of the measurement range. A useful function when checking many of the same components with a known value, e.g. a series of resistors. Manually setting the range will significantly shorten the time of such measurements
FUNC. – changing the measurement mode, e.g. from temperature measurement from °C to °F, switching the diode test to the circuit continuity test
DATA HOLD – keeping the currently measured value on the display
MAX HOLD – keeping the maximum measurement value on the display
Additional information:

LCD display, maximum displayed result: 1999
screen backlight
audible signal in the continuity test for resistance below 50 O
ability to enable diode and circuit continuity tests separately
the clamps open up to 37 mm and enable measurement of a single wire with a maximum diameter of 37 mm
The set includes measurement probes and a cover
design with overload protection
automatic shutdown of the meter
low battery indicator
power supply: two 1.5 V (AAA) batteries

Attention!
Current measurement using clamp meters is performed only on a single wire, a single cable. Clamping the clamps on a multi-core cable without separating a single wire will show an incorrect result or zero current flow.
